The End of an Era

One’s drawing to a close, another one is just about to begin. In between, though, is two weeks of nothing-ness.

It’s my last day at work today. OK, so I’ve only been working at the University for 8 weeks, but it’s just another thing coming to a close. I had my last rehearsal for the 11am morning band at Church last night, and it’ll be the last service I play in on Sunday morning. At my home church, that is. It’s all quite a sad affair, really.

Plus, it’s not only me it’s the end of an era for. Graham is getting married on saturday, no more freedom for him. I’m sure he’ll have a great time in his new life with Sophie, good luck to them.

Obviously, the biggest era drawing to a close (at least for the time being) is living at home. In a couple of weeks time I shall be moving into my new accommodation for the next year. And I wont be the only one – all over the country, hundreds of people will be leaving their familys behind, and their friends, and venturing into new territories to begin a new life at University. I hope it all goes well for them.

It’s quite sad, really. But it’ll work out in the end.

There is one thing I won’t miss though. The constant bullying by Toby…
