Wedded Bliss
I went to my first wedding yesterday. It was quite an experience! By ‘my first wedding’ I mean the first wedding I have attended, not the first of my own weddings… I don’t plan on having more than one. It was an interesting time, Graham looked petrified before the service, seemed a bit more relaxed after the service, and was more almost his normal self by the evening do, though I did find him hiding in the toilet to ‘get a bit of escapism’ later in the evening. Sophie looked lovely. Apparently. Thats what everyone says… I must admit though, it was a nice dress!
Good luck to Graham and Sophie in their new life, hope they have a great honeymoon in Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Dubai… Though they aren’t flying out until Tuesday, so they’re probably having a nice relaxing time at home until then.
On a sadder note, I played in my final Sunday morning service this morning :( I made a card for each member, a Snoopy picture of the band. They seemed touched; Mark wants to have the image blown up and put onto some t-shirts. Paul still seemed in denial about me leaving, but I think it had sunk in by the end of the service; he did seem quite upset. It’s nice to be missed, and appreciated. The whole band (apart from Paul who was busy telling jokes) prayed for me, and Fliss made sure Ineke was there too and they prayed for her too. It was nice, but I didn’t like standing in the middle of the circle and being the centre of attention it really isn’t me… Hence why I’m a bass player and not a lead guitarist…
Interesting service this evening - a youth-led service at Romsey Baptist Church. I must say Ineke’s brother looks like he has a promising and reverent career ahead of him!
aww, paul will get though it eventually! u played very very well! uv gota find somewhere to show ur talents in pompey now :P xxxxxxxxxx
