Wednesday - what else to call it

When did I last blog? This morning at 2… ok.
Today has been rather lazy. I woke up late, met Ruth at 12. She had a strange request from a friend of hers in London to find a pen with “University of Portsmouth” written on it, so I took her into Halpern House and asked the switchboard ladies, who very kindly produced one! We went and got a baguette from Deli Too, wandered back to Ruth’s flat and sat chatting until I had to go and meet Sarah from her lecture. When I met Sarah, we went and ordered her laptop, she was annoyed because Novatech make the “ex-VAT” prices larger than the “inc-VAT” prices, and she was only expecting to pay the ex-VAT price. She also didn’t realise that it cost extra to have an operating system with it, which is fairly essential.
We went back to her flat, watched a bit of TV and wandered back to drop her off at her dance class. From there I went on to Wiltshire to have my audition for the Big Band, it’s a really embarassing situation to stand in front of 3 people and play bass lines. They also asked me to “just play anything, anything complicated!” so I played a bit of Express Yourself and random stuff. I should have played the Chicken!! But I guess it’s too late now. Oh well! Hopefully hear from them later this week.
Had a social evening down the pub with people from New Life Church, was a good evening. Sam had an artistic moment and drew Dan, while not looking at the paper. It’s still quite an impressive drawing!! See the picture. But I have a 2hr 9am lecture tomorrow morning on “Electronic Communication Networks 1″, and I’m quite tired. So good night!!
