It’s been a while
Since I’ve blogged. But that’s because Ineke’s been down and it’s been a fantastic weekend. But she’s just left on the train, and it was unbelievably hard to watch her walk through the barrier with tears streaming down her face. But she’s gone now, and I’ve just got back from the station.
I bought a permanent marker on the way back from the station and have just marked every bit of Nintendo kit that I own with a small cross, so that it doesn’t get mixed up with Tom’s stuff when he brings his down. I don’t really know what to do this evening, I have nothing particular to do, but I want to be here for when Ineke gets back to make sure she got back ok.
She arrived Friday on the 16:44 train, and we went straight back to my flat. After showing her round for a while, we went over to Dan’s flat and she met him. We wandered down Gunwharf, then back and Ineke and I ate in Weatherspoons. Later that evening, we went back there with Dan and just sat around having a drink and a chat.
Saturday, we woke fairly late, had some toast and croissants for breakfast then went for a walk. Ended up in Jamocha’s eating some chocolate cake, then down to Southsea and along the sea front. We watched the Hovercraft leave for the Isle of Wight, then wandered back up to my flat. In the evening we went down to Gunwharf and up the Spinnaker tower. Portsmouth is very impressive from that height in the dark, though the glass floor in the tower is less scary at night; there’s not as much on view below.
We had a good sunday lunch today, because Mum invited us back home, for one of her Sunday Roasts. Afterwards, me, John, Ineke and Dad went up to the Argos carpark so that we could have a go on his motorbike, I did a few laps. It was good fun.
But then we had to come back here and Ineke had to leave.
If anyone has a copy of Arcsoft Total Media it would be much appreciated if I could install it again on my machine, I’ve lost the disc and as such my TV card is useless.

You don’t have to wait to be invited to lunch, this is your home after all!! You’re both always welcome, you know that.
I’m coming down this weekend to see Dan, I know it’ll be really hard to walk through the barrier at the station aswell.
I’m really glad Dan’s met people like you and Ineke because we’re all in the same boat and there to support each other.
BTW I’m looking forward to meeting Ineke, when is she coming down to Portsmouth next?
Kita :-)
