The Departed
So where did I finish off last blog? Oh yes, Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning!
On wednesday I had no lectures, so got up quite late and had a lazy morning doing nothing that I can remember! At 3, 6 of us met outside James Watson to go bowling down Gunwharf. There was me, James, Dan, Greg, Lauren and someone who’s name I have completely forgotton! I used to like bowling, but I was just rubbish on wednesday, I came 5th out of 6 with only 63 points :( It was quite rubbish.
Me, Dan and James stayed to play pool, Dan and I played best of 3 - I won that. But only by luck as Dan accidently potted the 8 ball on our last game after we had one a frame each. So I then played James and got slaughtered, after which Dan played James and beat him. So rubbish at bowling *and* pool!
We had a meal in Burger King then headed home. Spent the evening just chatting to Ineke.
Thursday (today, or is it yesterday now?) I had a 9:00 til 11:00 lecture on Electronic Communications Networks, which was ok. I did a trip to Tesco, then had my last lecture of the day at 16:00; Engineering Analysis. We were solving linear equations today - yay! I would never have learnt how to solve 3x + 2 = 20 if it weren’t for today’s lecture!!! We also did simultaneous linear equations today which are no more challenging…
Had a meal down Weatherspoons with Sam, Dan, Ruth and James. It was good fun, after which we wandered down Gunwharf and saw The Departed at the cinema. It’s quite a good, if a little confusing, film but worth seeing if you’re into that kind of film. Scorsese (or however you spell it) is a good director.
