Sleeping Monkey Presents...
So much to blog about, so little space
Nov 13 2006If I blog for too long I know that many of you will stop before you even finish this sentence, so I’ll try and keep it short and sweet! I haven’t blogged in so long some of you might be thinking I’ve died, but I can assure that’s not the case! Here come the subheadings…
Gangster Photoshoot
Well that was on Thursday evening… Dan and I got changed round his, into our swish suits etc, then James turned up at Dan’s and we walked up to the Sams flat where we waited for the girls! We all traipsed round to the pub, where Sam bought us all a drink and we posed for her in photos! We had to stand still for up to 2 minute exposures, in dead still positions, which is really hard. But it was great fun, and I hope to get the photos off Sam once she’s developed them!
Afterwards, Dan, James and I went to the social at Tiger Tiger, which was really good fun, we were the only three in suits, and as us three and Clare (Ruth) formed one team for the quizes we called ourselves 3 Suits + 1, novel I know! We didn’t win the competition I’m afraid :(
ResNet Issues… and Ineke!
Had to work today, and the network chose a great time to go down! Though to be honest, I thought we’d be more flooded with calls than we actually were. Halfway through work, Dan kindly picked Ineke up from the station and brought her to my workplace, where we stayed until I got off my shift and went back to mine.
We had fun making a video of Dan singing to Toby the Terrier, which is on YouTube here. We ate at Wetherpoons, where Clare joined us, then proceeded back to mine where we made 2 more videos, here and here. They’re really funny!
It was great to have Ineke back down :)
Shopping and Home
Ineke and I went shopping on Saturday, bought some Christmas presents etc, had a fun day out in Commercial Road! Well, that was after a huge cooked breakfast with hash browns, sausages, eggs, bacon, fried bread, toast and baked beans, all cooked by yours truely! With Ineke’s help, of course. It was great fun.
We went back to mine on the train around 5ish, up to Whiteley where I bought some new shoes, then home. Had a quiet evening in watching Wallace And Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which is a very good film! Full of innuendos though… But amusing!
Stop the Traffik
I went to my church on the Sunday morning, and it was good to be there again! We had a guy from Stop the Traffik talking to us, it was such powerful and upsetting stuff, I just can’t bear to think of people being traffiked like they are, but what can I do? I donated some money when I got home, but I don’t know what else to do. How can other people be so horrible and sick and disgusting to children and other human beings?! It doesn’t make sense, and it makes me want to go and punch the living daylights out the idiots who do it… but then that would be un-Christian of me, wouldn’t it?
Ineke caught the train from Fareham :( But we did get a few minutes more than we would have done otherwise, maybe. After she had left, Mum and I played some games online before eventually going to bed. I had to get up at half 6 the next morning to go back to Uni with Dad.. So I was in Uni at half 7 this morning, really bored because the ResNet was still down :( But it’s up now!!
Been a usual monday, loads of lectures, falling asleep in one or two of them, but still listening… and that was probably just because I was up so early. Big Band was good though.
Thanks for reading this! And if you can, please do me a favour. Give a donation to Stop the Traffik, they do brilliant work, we have so much compared to so many other people I think we can afford to give some of it to a very good cause. Don’t you?
