Weather, Cricket and Pool

Why am I getting so lax with my blogging? Maybe it’s just that I have better things to do and don’t want to be up til some unearthly hour in the morning blogging…

Anyway, since I last blogged a fair bit has happened. Ineke and I had a really nice breakfast on Saturday then went shopping, where we managed to get quite a bit of stuff bought! Wrapping presents after that was fun :) Then we cooked chili with baked beans in the evening, with chips, which was nice. We met up with Dan, and went to play pool down Gunwharf. Ineke and I played against Dan to start with, and he won, then I played against Dan and Ineke, and I won :) Then we decided to play Dan and I against Ineke – an interesting but almost humiliating result to say the least!! Ineke did so well that we both reached the black, and after quite a few fluffed shots on the black, Ineke potted the white so we had a chance to pot the black. It was Dan’s shot, and he had to play the black up the table but make sure that the cue ball rolled past the line so that we didn’t lose. We won – by *3* inches!

We went back to Dan’s to watch The Day After Tomorrow. When we left (around 2) it was tipping it down and very windy – anyone who’s seen the film will know what that meant!

Sunday we went to Kings in the morning, then went back and had a “roast”! Breaded chicken breasts, frozen roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, gravy etc. It was really tasty! I really can’t remember what we spent Sunday afternoon just “hanging out” lol.

Ineke had to leave in the evening :( but it’s ok. I’ll see her on Friday :D yay!

After Ineke had left, I went to Dan’s and met up with him, James and Clare Ruth. James, Dan and I played cricket with a ball of light, a pen for a bail, a door for the wicket and a toolkit for the bat. It was great fun! Clare Ruth only got hit twice.

Walking back from a lecture on Monday, it was sooo windy that we just got stopped dead when trying to walk… I’ve never felt the wind that hard!

After Big Band Monday evening I went to Dan’s, as did Clare Ruth. We left about midnight. Can’t remember what we did!

Did more shopping today, got Ineke a few more things ;)

Now I’m at Dan’s. Cell in an hour and a half. :)
