New! Comment Avatars

20Mar

New! Comment AvatarsI have just added a new feature to the website: comment avatars! You can upload an image that will display next to every comment that you make.

There are, however a few restrictions with the system:

  1. The image is recommended to be 80 pixels wide by 80 pixels high, and square. If this is not the case, the image will be resized to fit within an 80 by 80 square.
  2. The image must be a JPEG.
  3. The Name, Email and URL in each comment must be the same as the one you entered when you uploaded for the avatar to work.
  4. When using the Upload Form, please put an ‘http://’ before the URL address; otherwise the avatar will also not work.

You can get to the upload form by using the link within the “Comment” box below. Have fun!

Brilliant idea, and I am looking forward till it works, however it doesn’t. After hours and hours of fiddling around, failing to make things work, and troubles in all kinds of ways I finally got to the final point: The images aren’t showing, even though they are uploaded. I get “comment_image” as a text where it should appear, and in the LCA Manager I see a blank spot where it says ‘Image’.
Anything you can do to help? =)

Hi,

great plugin, but didn’t work, if I use permanentlinks.

for example:
/%year%-%monthnum%-%day%/%postname%/

Works only with default permalink (blog/?p=123)

Maybe you could fix it?
