Long time no blog

Lots has happened since I last blogged… I’ve been getting a bit slack recently! I’ll try not to write too much in this one but I can’t promise anything…

Housing

We met Adrian on Saturday the 24th, the day after I last blogged. He came to Jamochas and Dan, Ruth Clare and I looked over the leases (James was away for the weekend). Dad also came down and looked at them and they all seemed fine, so after a bit of thought and pondering, we signed the leases, wrote the deposit cheques and posted the lot to Adrian in Roland’s Castle. So our house is sorted! I’ll put a photo up later.

Amazing Grace

That was this week’s film! As Ineke was down for the week she came to see it too. It’s about William Wilberforce and the abolition of the slave trade - it’s a very good film and I would recommend that you see it, either at the cinema or when it comes out on DVD. We had a bit of a muck-up over the tickets though - Dan and James asked for tickets to Amazing Grace but they were sold tickets to 300, luckily we noticed while we were in Burger King and Dan and I went back to get it sorted out.

Home Time!

I’m now at home for the Easter break, all of two weeks! My room’s been recently decorated and I have a nice new laminate flooring, duck-egg blue and “on-deck” white walls, the only thing I’m lacking is something to cover the window with - and I can’t decide between curtains or a venetian blind! So opinions in the comments please!

Hi-Fi Additions

Well I currently have a nice little Hi-Fi setup (at Uni, unfortunately it would have been too much effort to bring it back for just two weeks) - one Cambridge Audio A500 Amplifier (I know that link is to an A5, it’s just an updated version), one Cambridge Audio CD5 CD Player, and one Cambridge Audio DAB 300 Digital Tuner. They’re all in black, and go very well with the black Gale mini monitors I have as well. Now, I’ve decided I want a turntable. So I’m probably going to go for the Pro-Ject Debut III Turntable. In black, of course. Wait a minute, I hear you say, that’s not a Cambridge Audio like all the rest! And I know, it’s disappointing, but Cambridge Audio don’t make turntables. Sad, isn’t it. Anyway, hopefully over Easter I’ll pop over to Richer Sounds and purchase that, and maybe a new interconnect too. Yay!
