Back into the ‘swing’ of things
May 21 2007I really need to get back into the swing of things when it comes to playing the Double Bass, if you’ll pardon the Jazz pun. At Big Band tonight Ramsey asked me to play the Double Bass for the rehearsal instead of my usual electric, and I thought it wouldn’t be too bad! But now my fingers are screaming “Why did you put us through that!” and they’re nursing lovely huge blisters. If I had my own Double Bass I’d play it more often and get back into the feel of it, playing properly, rather than painfully. So keep your eyes and ears out for a cheap (but decent) Double Bass!!
On another note, I had a 3-hour course in Event Security on Saturday. It was really good, learnt lots from the two guys that were leading it. So on Saturday and Sunday when the Mainstage event is on, I’m going to be patroling the area, along with the rest of the security team. It’s really hard acting annoyed in a role play!! It was quite fun though.
Ineke went back to Bath today, hopefully her exam goes ok on Thursday.
And mine tomorrow.
