It’s Cold

08Oct

You can tell we’re getting near winter. The house was nice and warm when I woke up (thanks to the wonders of timed central heating), but the minute I stepped out the back door to get my bike an icy chill hit my legs and I could see my breath in front of me. Cycling to work this morning was freezing, there was frost on the grass in front of the house, and as I cycled down the dual carriageway I couldn’t see more than a couple of hundred yards into the fields on either side because of the mist. My fingers got so cold (but as I wear gloves, only down to the second knuckle on each hand!) that the warm shower hurt when it hit them… I don’t like this weather! And it’s not even November!

And just for the record, the computer on my bike registered 7.3°C this morning. That’s cold.

But not as cold as it’s going to get, I feel…

Aww Ben’s going to have to get used to living away from the warmth of the sea! Forgot how much chillier in land it is compared to by the sea.

Well I have avoided the frost here is the land of burning cows but also I only travel at most 4MPH so probably don’t get the same freezing factor :P
