Happy Birthday to me…

Yesterday I turned 21, and I had a long weekend of birthday events! It’s been one of the best birthdays I’ve had, and I’ve had a few… well, 21 I guess!

It started on Saturday with a meal at Tootsie’s in Gunwharf, with 10 of my friends from church and Uni. It was great! We had a 50% voucher, which meant it was cheap, and people gave me presents! We had fun with helium balloons, and all went back to Sarah, Sarah and Paul’s house to play some games like Dirty Minds, etc.

Sunday was a meal (again!) with my family, again at Gunwharf, but this time at The Slug and Lettuce. And, yup, this one was 50% off too! It was really good, my family all together, plus Annie and Tessa. Afterwards we headed back to our house where Suzie and I got given our birthday presents from the family, so thanks for them, guys!

Monday meant back to work, but Annie came up with my Sunday night and after work I opened my presents from her. A great new watch, and tickets to see Avenue Q at the end of this month, among others! We’re seeing Avenue Q on a Friday night, and staying in a hotel in London overnight so we can explore the city the next day. Annie’s still in Reading, so I get to see her tonight before she goes back to Portsmouth while I’m at work tomorrow. It’s been an awesome birthday.

So, it’s a couple of weeks until we go to see Avenue Q, a couple of months until we go to New York, then a couple more months until we go to see John Barrowman at the Portsmouth Guildhall. 2009′s panning out to be a good year!
